There is quite a buzz about ganoderma, a naturally occurring substance from the Reishi mushroom. In particular, you can find it in healthy coffees, cocoas, and teas, because ganoderma has the ability to neutralize caffeine. Research has identified six or seven of the over 200 species of red Reishi mushrooms that hold the most potent therapeutic properties, and these are the species used for most beverages and dietary supplements.
Ganoderma Naturally Neutralizes Caffeine
The coffee sold at New Concepts contains lowered levels of caffeine, having been neutralized by ganoderma. An average cup will contain only .005 percent caffeine, in contrast to a regular cup of coffee, which would have anywhere from 30 to 180 mg in a cup (depending on brewing technique). Even so-called "decaf" blends contain 3 to 5 mg of caffeine, or up to three percent. Healthy coffee promoted by New Concepts also has the additional benefit of being entirely natural and organic, unlike decaf which is treated with unnatural chemicals.
It is believed that Ganoderma Lucidum can provide energy and rejuvenate your body. Ganoderma has also been used around the world for centuries to strengthen the immune system and increase the efficiency of waste elimination and detoxification. Some also claim that it has a stress-relieving effect. Unless you are allergic to mushrooms, you should not experience side effects or health problems as a result of taking a Reishi extract such as ganoderma.
